Meet our Alumni

Our alumni have embarked on diverse and stimulating career paths following their time in St. Mary’s.

We take great pride in the accomplishments of our graduates and the positive impact they continue to bring to their workplaces and communities.

Liam Lawton

Catholic Priest & Composer
Liam Lawton, a renowned composer, is currently serving as a priest in his hometown of Edenderry, Co Offaly. He graduated from SME in 1977 and is currently serving on the Board of Management from 2022 to present day.

Marian Corcoran

Chartered Director
Marian lives in Edenderry and has 3 children all of whom attended SME. She was  Chair of the SME Board of Management from 2019 to 2022 and a member of the BoM from 2016 to 2022. Marian is a graduate of DCU and attended SME from 1977 to 1981.

Martin Tyrell

Procurement Manager 
Martin is a “born and bred” Edenderry man and is an experienced Procurement Manager who has worked in the Financial Services sector since 1987 and has over 35 years’ experience in working in both public and private companies.

Brendan Holton

Self Employed

Brendan is a past pupil of St Mary’s, having attended between 1977 and 1983. He lives in Kilshanroe and has two children, both of whom also attended St Mary’s.  He currently serves as Chair of the school’s Board of Management.
