Brendan is a past pupil of St Mary’s, having attended between 1977 and 1983. He lives in Kilshanroe and has two children, both of whom also attended St Mary’s.   

He currently serves as Chair of the school’s Board of Management and was a member of previous Boards of Management between 2016-2019 and 2019-2022.  He has also acted as Chair of the school’s Finance Committee.  

Brendan worked with AIB Bank during a career spanning 30+ years and has significant experience in leading and managing change.  He held a range of senior positions across areas such as branch banking, credit management, debt resolution, audit, governance and operational risk.   He was a member of the management board of WBK Bank, Poznan, Poland and head of retail development for AIB Poland.  

Brendan is currently self-employed.  He holds a Masters Degree from Trinity College Dublin, is a member of the Institute of Directors and a fellow member of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland.
