We are thrilled to announce and celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students during this year’s STEM Week. The spirit of innovation and enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics was truly electrifying.
A round of applause to TY student Johnny Foran, whose sharp estimation skills earned him the top spot in the Guesstimate Challenge! His guess of 883 was only 3 digits away from the actual result of 886, showcasing his impressive accuracy.
In the Wheels of Endurance Challenge, 5th-year student Jakub Urbanczyk demonstrated exceptional speed and precision, completing the game in a record-breaking 22 seconds!
Our 1st-year student Orla McIntyre exhibited great skill by winning the Technology Department’s Reaction Game, demonstrating her quick thinking and agility.
Well done to Mary Hogan and Vivian O’Dare who showcased their teamwork and problem-solving abilities by successfully completing the Build the Dice Challenge.
We also want to acknowledge our Marble Machine competition winner: 1st-year students Emetas Staponka and Ryan Travers, along with the students from the Laochra 2 Centre, for their innovative designs and engineering prowess.
A huge congratulations to Ms. Galisson and her 5th-year students for winning the “Capturing STEM” competition, demonstrating creativity and artistic flair in showcasing the essence of STEM.
