In a burst of entrepreneurial brilliance, St. Mary’s Edenderry Transition Year students orchestrated a dazzling Christmas Fair, showcasing their innovative mini-company products. Each company curated its unique display stand, transforming the school gym into a winter wonderland of holiday cheer.
Excitement filled the air with raffles boasting coveted prizes, such as a signed Westmeath jersey by county footballer Mr. Jamie Gonoud. The school gym buzzed with Christmas shoppers all day, creating a vibrant atmosphere. In the afternoon, the students warmly welcomed their parents, inviting them to explore and admire their unique holiday displays, infusing a special touch into the festivities. The overwhelming demand led to many groups selling out on the spot, setting the stage for a bustling week ahead as they work diligently to fulfil additional orders.
The dedicated efforts of the students received praise from Enterprise teachers Mrs. Coughlan, Mrs. Griffin, and Ms. Dunbar, highlighting their imaginative ideas and stellar business plans. The success of the TY Enterprise Christmas Fair sets the stage for the upcoming Enterprise Awards in the New Year, celebrating the triumphs of these budding entrepreneurs. 🏆
